A Name With IMPACT

With the much anticipated release of Proposition 49 funding for After School Programs, Garden Grove Unified School District in collaboration with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove has been funded for 34 sites in addition to their ten existing sites. The Community Enrichment Programs, which include ASES After School Programs, REACH for Literacy, and Supplemental Educational Services, will be expanding significantly over the next two years. With this change, the CEP Division began to reconsider its name. The team wanted a title that conveyed the unique and powerful partnerships that were taking place with Boys & Girls Clubs and school staff on GGUSD campuses. After employee and board of directors feedback was taken into consideration, the decision was made. The new name for the division is the Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove's School IMPACT (Innovative and Meaningful Partnerships to Advance Children & Teens) Programs. We are proud of our new name, and especially of the work that we are able to perform in the community with the support of Garden Grove Unified School District.

The newest additions to our ASES After School Program locations include Eisenhower Elementary, Morningside Elementary, Peters Elementary, Irvine Intermediate and Walton Intermediate. We look forward to extending our services to all of the newly funded school sites!
