Circuit City Visits The Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove

In continuing to strengthen their partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs, Circuit City managers visited and toured Main Branch Wednesday afternoon. The Circuit City Team arrived around 4:30 pm. The kids had a fun and interactive visit. This visit was an obvious great time for both club members and Circuit City managers.

While entering the gym there was a competitive dodge ball game going on. It was a sight to see when the kids would hit those Circuit City managers right out of the game. This game was only one of the many activities throughout the club such as baseball, basketball, ping pong and shooting a game of pool.

Everyone gathered in the gym and the Boys & Girls Clubs thanked the Circuit City crew for coming out and interacting with the kids. The Boys & Girls Club announced their next exciting activity, "The Fear Factor Eating Competition." The Entree consisted of a rice cake, tofu, frosting, cream and a cherry, to top it off.

At 5:00 pm everyone headed to the picnic tables outside where the Circuit City team passed out drinks, snacks, and pizza for all the kids to enjoy. The kids were enjoying their pizza and throughout this time everyone was getting to know each other on a one on one basis.

Circuit City's sponsorship began in 2000, and are thrilled to expand there partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Circuit City is also currently having a National Photography Competition from Boys & Girls Clubs kids. The winners will receive a "digital dark room" consisting of two PCs and so much more for their club site.

The over all experience for this welcoming day was positive for everyone. As the afternoon came to a close, one Circuit City manager said, "We don't want to leave!" as he was intently playing a game of ping pong.
