Members Awarded With $100 ChildSpree From Mervyns
Store Donates $2000 To Benefit Students Going Back To School
The Mervyns located at 13092 Harbor Boulevard, Garden Grove is providing $2000 for students to go on their own Back to School Shopping as part of their annual "Childspree" program.
Twenty members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove have been selected based to participate in the ChildSpree based on their family need. These members will be able to shop with their parents for new clothes, shoes, and accessories including a 15% discount at the checkout. The event will take place Saturday, July 28 before the store opens for business.
"We are grateful to Mervyns for helping our youth with their Back to School Shopping." said Paul V. Ramirez, Family Support Director at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove. "Many of our families do not have the resources to buy new clothes every school year."

ChildSpree
Every year, each Mervyns store partners with non-profit organizations and school partners to provide participating underprivileged children with a $100 shopping spree and a 15% discount to purchase new clothes, shoes and accessories. Mervyns' associates are proud to volunteer at this annual event, which has helped thousands of kids go back to school with new clothes and the confidence they need to succeed. A company-wide tradition since 1992, Mervyns' award-winning ChildSpree program has donated more than $18.6 million and served more than 186,000 children.
