Dr. Donald Cook Memorial

Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove has lost a dedicated board member and dear friend. Dr. Don Cook passed away January 27th, as result of a stroke he suffered last Wednesday.

Don has been an enthusiastic, generous and deeply caring member of our organization since 1990, most notably chairing a Wine Festival that raised not only hundreds of thousands of dollars but also hundreds of friends for Boys & Girls Club.

He and his wife, Maxine, have been an integral part of our board's success and deep sense of family, and his booming voice, energetic reports and famous "countdown to the Wine Festival" will be missed at our meetings.

Services will be held at Kiwanisland at 11am on February 2, 2008. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations made in Don Cook's memory to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove.
