BGCGG to sponsor Community Tax Days

It's that time of year again! Don't wait to get your tax refund... File Today! Due to the success of the 2007 Community Tax Days Event BGCGG has once again teamed up with Orange County United Way and Legal Aid Society of Orange County to sponsor two Community Tax Days in February. The goal of the Community Tax Day event is to increase awareness about the Earned Income Tax Credit (the #1 anti-poverty program in the U.S.) and to help taxpayers file their taxes for free!

In the 2007 tax season BGCGG helped some 55 families save more than $65,000 through the EITC Community Campaign. The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) is a tax credit that is offered by the IRS to low-income individuals and families who meet IRS guidelines. Many families are unaware of this tax credit and each year an estimated amount of $41 to $65 million EITC dollars go unclaimed in Orange County. Our goal is to help families claim the tax credits that they are eligible for.
