
Helping youth become responsible caring citizens and acquire skills for participating in the democratic process is the main thrust of these programs. They also develop leadership skills and provide opportunities for planning, decision-making, contributing to Club and community, and celebrating our national heritage.
Awesome Destinations: A mentoring program offered to members ages 13-15 that allows the students to interact and be mentored by a member of the Junior League of Orange County by participating in monthly activities with their mentor.
B.O.S.S.: Business Oriented Success Skills is a mentoring program sponsored by the Junior League of Orange County to teach teenagers the necessary skills needed to be able to successfully enter into the working world through activities, fieldtrips and guest speakers.
Lil' Rascals: A self-esteem program for boys of all ages. Members conduct special activities for young men to help them make positive choices in the future on education, career, drug use and gang involvement. Collaborative efforts between other club leadership groups on field trips, fund-raising, and sponsoring sporting/social events.
Crossroads: This program, operating in all 16 Boys & Girls Clubs in Orange County, offers youth, ages 11-15, a variety of programs in the 5 core program areas, character & leadership development, education & career development, health & life skills.
Junior Leaders: Career opportunity program for club members, ages 11 and up. Learn by doing! Partner with Club staff daily and you will have the opportunity to assist staff with daily activities, planning special events, designing bulletin boards, and building stronger relationships with our club members.
Keystone "United" Club: Keystone Clubs are chartered small-group leadership and service clubs for boys and girls ages 14-18. Keystoners elect officers and plan and implement their own activities in six areas; service to Club and community, leadership development, education and career exploration, unity, free enterprise and social recreation. Sponsored by the Taco Bell Foundation.
Lil' Angels: A self-esteem program for girls ages 5-10. Members participate in community awareness activities and volunteerism. They help guide others in a positive manner.
Member of the Month: This recognition program is open to boys and girls of all ages. The qualities that stand out about these special members are service and helpfulness to staff and club members, pride and ownership of his/her Club, enthusiasm and participation in daily activities and events, and a positive attitude and respect for himself/herself, the Club and others.
Torch Club: Torch Club is a powerful vehicle through which Club staff can help meet the special needs of younger adolescents at a critical stage in their development, using small group leadership and service.
World is Mine: A mentoring program for girls ages 10-12 years that allows the girls to participate in monthly fieldtrips and activities with their mentor from the Junior League of Orange County
