The Children's Health & Dental Center located at 10602 Chapman Ave in Garden Grove is home to many valuable health and family services for children with or without insurance. The Health Center is a collaborative between Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove, Children's Hospital of Orange County, Healthy Smiles for Kids of Orange County, and the Children & Families Commission of Orange County.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove are pleased to offer the ARCHES Program (Access to Resources for Children's Health, Education, & Support), focusing on child counseling, family support services, and outreach & referral. Services Provided at ARCHES include:

  • Information & Referral Services
    • ARCHES connects families to resources and services in the community to ensure the needs of the whole child are met. These may be services provided at the Health Center or through partner agencies in the community.
    • Anyone in the community may call to find out more information about any type of activity, resource, or community service in which they are looking. ARCHES Staff will research and refer families or individuals to qualifying programs. Please call 714-532-7940 for more information.
  • Child and Family Counseling
    • Early Childhood Program - individual and family counseling services for children from birth to age 5 who have Medi-Cal insurance. To schedule an appointment call 714-532-7944
    • Parent Child Interactive Therapy - for children 2-8 years old and their parents. PCIT is a positive and intensive form of counseling designed to benefit both parents and children. Insurance is not accepted for this program. To schedule an appointment call 714-532-7952
  • Transportation
    • Transportation services are available to any family with an appointment at the Health Center. Please call 714-532-7940 at least 24 hours before your appointment.
  • Vision Care
    • Through a unique partnership BGCGG and The Southern California College of Optometry have collaborated to provide pediatric vision care services. The comprehensive exams check eye sight, the need for glasses, eye coordination, vision development, and eye health. Children who are prescribed glasses will be outfitted on-site.

Healthy Smiles for Kids of Orange County offers low-cost dental treatment services for children ages 0-18. Some insurance plans are accepted and programs are available for low-income families. The Tooth Fairy Learning Center provides hands on interactive education in areas of oral health to school groups, community youth groups and patients. Smile Line OC provides information for families on oral health, access to dental services, insurance application assistance, transportation services, and referrals to a pediatric dentist. CHOC is dedicated to providing comprehensive primary pediatric care to children from age 0 through 18 years of age. CHOC's community clinics offer: Preventative care, School & Sports Physicals, Care of chronic conditions, Treatment of acute Illnesses, Case management, Health education, Immunizations, WIC. The Healthy Families medical insurance program provides comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage for newborns up to age 19 who are CA residents and US Citizens and who are currently not covered by health care insurance.
