To show our support BGCGG is partnering with Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), to hold a blood drive through the month of November. I am writing to request your support and participation in this drive. It is an opportunity for us to demonstrate a commitment to Cody Waters and our community.
Every two seconds someone in America needs blood. Those of us blessed with good health can share it through donating blood -- to enable a premature baby to live, a burn victim to recover, a cancer patient to be treated, an accident victim to survive, or a transplant candidate to have a life-giving surgery. This ongoing need is felt by our area hospitals and patients. Please encourage your staff, friends, and families to donate blood. I know that you will give full consideration to donating the "gift of life," and I thank you for your interest in this important community effort.
To schedule an appointment, please call CHOC at 714-532-8339 and mention you would like to donate for the Cody Waters account.
For more information about the November blood drive, please call Christina Sepulveda at (714) 532-7943, or e-mail her at

About Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove
For more than 50 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove (www.bgcgg.org) have been a positive influence in young lives while playing an integral role in the Garden Grove community. Striving to help children and teens succeed, the Boys & Girls Clubs provide hope and opportunity through after-school programs and community outreach. Known as The Positive Place for Kids, today 57 Clubs and programs serve over 5,000 young people from Diapers to Diplomas, ages 18 months-18 years old on a daily basis. The Clubs offer programs in character and leadership development, education and career enhancement, the arts, health and life skills, and sports, fitness and recreation. Our family programs such as REACH For Literacy, Family & Youth Outreach Program (FYOP), ARCHES (Access to Resources for Children's Health, Education and Support), and the Truancy Reduction Program (TRC) expand our services to ensure that the needs of the whole child are met. Our Mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
