It will be a fun-filled afternoon packed with plenty of activities for everyone. There will be a Bounce House Obstacle Course, a volleyball game in the gym, and field mania activities such as a water balloon toss, egg toss, tug-of-war, and other challenging relay races! The goal of the "Let's Just Play Campaign" is to teach youth the importance of balancing indoor and outdoor fun while promoting healthier lifestyle choices. "It is essential in today's age for children to be involved in more outdoor activities," said Heidi Levesque, Area Director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove, "because of the increasing trends of obesity, popularity of video games, and spending idle hours on the internet." Nickelodeon and the Boys & Girls Clubs expanded partnership provides a Positive Place For Kids that will encourage thousands of children worldwide to be involved in healthy and active play. BGCGG invites the children of the community to be involved in the Worldwide Day of Play at Main Branch located at 9860 Larson St in Garden Grove on Friday, September 26. For more information please contact Heidi Levesque at (714) 537-1465. Get up, get out, and go play!
