"There is just piece of mind knowing my daughters have somewhere to be that keeps them safe and in a positive environment during the summer," explains Marlene Naea, parent, "and the girls love going to the Club because of the fun and diverse activities." Five traditional Club sites are open this summer throughout Garden Grove. Because of the new addition of the state-of-the-art Multi-Media Center, the summer's theme is "Lights! Camera! Action!" and our members are ready to take on the leading roles! The Multi-Media Center will provide members with activities that engage and encourage them to unleash their creativity and talent. Further activities such as drama, arts, rock climbing, baseball, technology, music, basketball, dance, education, sewing, swimming, cooking, and much more will be offered as well and take on a new twist! Each Club is open 6:30 am to 6:30 pm Monday thru Friday and has affordable rates and a sliding fee scale for families that need additional financial assistance. Main Branch offers a free drop-in program daily from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm with registration. This summer we are excited to announce the expansion of our summer programs. In collaboration with the Garden Grove Unified School District, 36 school sites will offer free on site summer programming 4 hours each day with a special emphasis in science. "The month of July will be devoted to science and hands-on experimenting which will help every child foster critical thinking and creativity in new and electrifying ways," states Pat Halberstadt, Chief Professional Officer. "I'm very proud of the exciting activities that our staff members have designed to keep kids active and engaged this summer." Don't just sit around all summer sweating in the heat! Join the fun at the Boys & Girls Clubs! Enroll today! In addition to our enrichment programs at the Club, we know kids want to have fun and explore the community out of the Club.
