GGUSD and BGCGG to Co-Host Free Seminars for Korean Parents

  • Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove (BGCGG).

 

WHEN:                

  • Wednesday, March 24, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and repeated on Thursday, March 25, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

WHAT:                

  • GGUSD & BGCGG are co-hosting free community outreach meetings focusing on the needs of Korean parents and families. Attendees at both workshops will tour the Family Campus CHOC Health Center, and learn how to access free support programs including counseling services for Korean students attending GGUSD schools. The meetings will also serve as a platform to survey the needs of the Korean families.

 

WHY:                   

  • In partnership with the school district, BGCGG fortified its services to the local Korean community by providing Korean-speaking staff which aids in the distribution of information on available support resources, providing education on health and counseling programs, and offering other culturally sensitive services for Korean families and children.
