On Saturday, April 2^nd over 150 members from 21 sites participated in our 2^nd Annual Brainiac Bowl. The day began with a full tour of Chapman University, including the student center and dorms.

Members were able to meet and interact with current Chapman University students who shared insights about college and encouraged members to one day choose their school. It is not farfetched that these BGCGG members will one day be students at Chapman University, or some other prestigious university, given the rigorous preparation for the Brainiac Bowl.

Participating members prepared with their school teams for one month by studying academic content in math, English language arts, social studies, science and even popular culture. During the live portion of the competition, team members collaborated to quickly work through challenging questions that had the brightest adults in the room stumped.

While all of the schools displayed an impressive performance, we are proud to announce that the winners were:

• 1^st Place: Violette Elementary
• 2^nd Place: Riverdale Elementary
• 3^rd Place: Gilbert Elementary
